Industrial safety policy

Last updated

Summary

Accenti provides safe and healthy working conditions and prevents work-related injury and ill health. Safety is an essential requirement of every activity carried out under our control.

Who it applies to

The policy applies to employees, temporary personnel, contractors and subcontractors working under Accenti control. Visitors and supplier personnel follow the site safety rules.

Key requirements

  • Risk prevention

Hazards are identified and risks assessed before work starts, applying the hierarchy of controls with suitable resources, safe equipment and supervision.

  • Competence and authorization

Only trained and authorized people carry out specialist or high-risk tasks, with the required risk assessments, permits, energy isolation and safe-work procedures.

  • Workshop and equipment safety

Lifting equipment, tools and vehicles are inspected and used safely. Working beneath a vehicle supported only by a jack, or under a suspended load, is prohibited.

  • Occupational risk controls

Vehicle and pedestrian movement, hot work, electrical work, tires, hazardous substances, fire, work at height, confined spaces and heat are all controlled.

  • Safety participation

Everyone receives instruction, uses the required protection, keeps work areas tidy and reports hazards. Anyone may stop unsafe work in good faith.

  • Emergency and incident response

Emergency, first-aid and fire-response arrangements are maintained. Injuries, incidents, near misses and dangerous conditions are reported and investigated.
